Sara Lidman

Sara Lidman (30 December 1923 – 17 June 2004) was a Swedish writer (Wikipedia).

The Sarah Lidman base r-ball was created by Anneli Fredriksson and Helena Lindblom as part of the RDA – An Opportunity for Library and Archive Collaboration project.

The archives selected for this part of the project were those of Sara Lidman, from a village in the nothern part of the county of Västerbotten, about 200 km north of Umeå, and GAN, from Lund in the south of Sweden. These two archives were of interest because of the combination of archival and published materials.

Sara Lidman's archive in Umeå contains manuscripts of the published book Nabots sten – the Swedish manuscripts, but also the manuscript for the English translation by Joan Tate.

For further information, see RDA: exposing the archival secrets.
